Mahdi Chehimi is an Assistant Professor at the American University of Beirut since August 2024. Previously, Chehimi served as a Quantum Scientist at Ingenii from April 2023 to August 2024, focusing on the development of quantum machine learning algorithms for medical imaging. Chehimi's experience also includes roles as a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Virginia Tech from August 2020 to August 2024, and as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where research was conducted on quantum communication networks.
