Latonia Craig has an extensive work experience history. In their current role as the Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer at the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association), they started in September 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Part-Time Lecturer at the University of Louisville starting in 2006. Latonia also held the position of Assistant Dean for Inclusive Excellence at Purdue University from 2019 to 2022, where they developed and implemented a college-wide diversity strategic plan. Latonia served as the Director of Graduate Recruitment and Diversity Retention at the University of Louisville's School of Interdisciplinary and Graduate Studies (SIGS) from 2014 to 2019, where they established community/institutional partnerships and developed a diversity newsletter. Additionally, they worked as an Academic Advisor and Instructor at Spalding University from 2012 to 2014, an instructor at the University of Louisville's Department of Pan-African Studies from 2010 to 2012, and as a Social Studies Chair/Debate Coach/Curriculum Mapper at the Kamit Institute of Magnificent Achievers Public Charter School (PCS) from 2006 to 2009. In 2006, they were a Visiting Summer Instructor at Ewha Womans University.

Latonia Craig, CDP®, EdD, MEd, MA has an extensive education history. Latonia pursued their Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of Louisville, which they successfully completed in the years 2000 to 2004. Subsequently, from 2004 to 2006, Latonia earned their first Master's Degree in Pan-African Studies, also from the University of Louisville. Latonia continued their educational journey, obtaining a second Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Cincinnati, where they studied from 2008 to 2010.

Latonia'seducational pursuit did not stop there, as Latonia further augmented their expertise by undertaking a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) program focused on Leadership at Spalding University. This program spanned from 2011 to 2014, culminating in their completion of the degree.

Throughout their academic journey, Latonia Craig demonstrated a strong commitment to expanding their knowledge and skills in various fields, particularly in the areas of Leadership, Educational Leadership, Pan-African Studies, and Political Science.
