Michael Coyle has extensive work experience in various roles related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Michael currently serves as the Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer at PJM Interconnection since July 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Pacific Gas and Electric Company, where they held multiple roles including Principal, Program Manager for Diversity & Inclusion from October 2008 to August 2021. Michael also worked as a Principal Workforce Strategy & Diversity Consultant and Senior Project Manager during their tenure at the company. Before joining Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Michael pursued a full-time M.S. graduate program in International Employment Relations and Human Resource Management at the London School of Economics from September 2005 to March 2007. Michael also worked as the National Human Resources Manager at The Trust for Public Land from January 2001 to September 2005. Additionally, they gained experience as a Project Staffing Analyst at Phoenix Pop Productions from December 1999 to December 2000 and as a Change Management Specialist at IDEO from July 1998 to December 1999. Michael's earliest position as an Operations Coordinator was at Tufts European Centre from September 1994 to July 1998.
Michael Coyle attended Ithaca College from 1990 to 1994, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business. Michael later pursued further education at the London School of Economics and Political Science from 2005 to 2006, specializing in Management with a focus on International Employment Relations and Human Resource Management.
