John F. has a diverse work experience that spans across various industries. John started their career as a Quality Assurance Lab Tech at Grecian Delight Foods in 2001 and later worked as a Shipping Clerk at GE Healthcare in 2004. In the same year, they joined Clear Channel Entertainment as a Traffic Reporter, where they worked until 2012. During this time, they also founded Fifthfeather.com, a sports blog focused on the Chicago Blackhawks, where they served as a Writer/Editor/Founder. In 2012, John joined Sterling Kilgore as an Account Executive and later became a Senior Digital Marketing Executive. Most recently, they have been working at the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), starting as a Social Media Manager in 2019 and progressing to Senior Manager, Social Media. John currently holds the position of Assistant Director of Digital and Social Media at AVMA.
John F. obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. In addition to their formal education, they have also obtained several certifications, including Programmatic Advertising Foundations from LinkedIn in March 2019, Content Marketing: Newsletters from LinkedIn in August 2018, PowerPoint Quick Tips from LinkedIn in July 2018, and Social Media Marketing: Optimization from LinkedIn in July 2018.
