Bob Lay

Bob Lay has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Bob most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer at the American Water Works Association starting in March 2020. From 2016 to 2019, Bob worked as the Chief Operating Officer and VP Sales at AlloSource, where they managed various teams and aligned sales and production strategies. Prior to this, Bob worked at Adam James International as a Principal and CFO, specializing in executive recruiting and team building. Bob was also the Global Director of Finance at BMGI, where they upgraded their accounting system and improved reporting accuracy. Bob has previous experience as a CFO and Director of Accounting at mpulse, a start-up company, and as the Director of Finance for the Americas region at Gambro, a global leader in the manufacture and distribution of Renal Dialysis Products. Before that, Bob worked as the Corporate Controller at Alta Colleges and as the Regional Controller at Loomis. Bob began their career as a Senior Auditor at Deloitte & Touche.

Bob Lay completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Denver, where they studied from 1988 to 1992. Bob then pursued a Master of Accountancy degree with a focus on Accounting and Finance at the same university, which they completed from 1988 to 1993. Additionally, Bob obtained the certification of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the State of Colorado in June 1995.
