David Bowler

David Bowler is an accomplished finance and accounting professional with extensive experience in senior leadership roles. Currently serving as SVP, Deputy CFO, and Treasurer at American Water since May 2020, David has previously held significant positions including SVP of Planning, Regulatory and Financial Services, and SVP of Corporate Tax, Accounting Technology, and Regulatory Services. Prior to American Water, David was the Director of Finance & Accounting Integration at CenterPoint Energy and held various roles at Vectren, including Vice President, Controller & Assistant Treasurer. Early in David's career, roles included Lead Project Analyst and Project Analyst at Northrop Grumman. Educational credentials include a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Professional Accountancy from the University of Southern Indiana, an MBA in Finance from the University of Indianapolis, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Purdue University.
