Madeline Tess Farmer is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in utility regulation and litigation. Currently serving as the Director of Corporate Counsel for Rates and Regulatory at American Water since January 2021, Farmer previously held the role of General Counsel at the Mississippi Public Service Commission from July 2017 to October 2020, after nearly three years as Special Assistant Attorney General focused on the Commission's litigation matters. An entrepreneurial spirit is evident in the founding of F3 Documentary Photography, LLC and Farmer, PLLC, both of which were closed due to rising legal responsibilities. Farmer’s legal career also includes roles at the Mississippi Attorney General's Office, YoungWilliams, and the Mississippi Center for Justice, reflecting a commitment to public service and pro bono efforts. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctorate from Mississippi College School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Rhodes College.
