Charndrea Leonard has a diverse work experience spanning from 2002 to the present. Charndrea began their career as an Executive Assistant/Volunteer Coordinator at the American Association of Adapted Sports Programs in March 2002. Charndrea later joined the Ashford Dunwoody YMCA in April 2002 as a Teen Center Supervisor. In July 2003, they became an AmeriCorps Recruitment Program Specialist at the Corporation for National and Community Service, a role they held until September 2004. From October 2004 to February 2020, Charndrea worked their way up at the Corporation for National and Community Service, starting as a Program Officer and eventually becoming a Senior Program Officer. Their responsibilities included supervising and training a team of program officers, developing policy, managing relationships with grant portfolios, conducting monitoring activities, and providing feedback and improvement recommendations to grantees. In February 2020, they assumed the position of Southeast Regional Administrator at the same organization. Overall, Charndrea Leonard has gained extensive experience in program management, policy development, and team supervision throughout their career.

Charndrea attended the university from 2000 to 2002, where they specialized in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management.
