Andrew Maloney

Andrew Maloney is a Process Development Principal Scientist at Amgen, where employment began in February 2021, after previously serving as a Process Development Senior Scientist. Prior experience includes a role as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from August 2016 to January 2021, where the thesis focused on continuous pharmaceutical manufacturing processes under the supervision of Richard D. Braatz. Additional experience includes contract engineering work at Amgen connected to the PhD thesis, and internships at Woodside Energy and Merck as part of the MIT School of Chemical Engineering Practice. Earlier educational engagements at West Virginia University included roles as an Undergraduate Research Assistant and Learning Assistant, complemented by international experiences as a DAAD RISE Scholar and a STEM SURE IRES Participant. Andrew holds a PhD and a master's degree in Chemical Engineering from MIT, as well as a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from West Virginia University.
