Josef Trapani is a Professor of Biology and Associate Professor of Biology at Amherst College, where the individual has been teaching since July 2011, initially starting as an Assistant Professor in the Biology Department and Neuroscience Program. Additionally, Josef Trapani serves as an Associate Faculty Member in the Neuroscience and Behavior Program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst since 2011. Prior to these positions, Josef Trapani worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute from 2006 to 2011 in Teresa Nicolson's Lab at the Vollum Institute and the Oregon Health Science University Hearing Research Center. Josef Trapani earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Neuroscience from the University of Connecticut in 2005 and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Molecular Cell Biology from the same institution in 1999.
