Renae Brodie is a Professor of Biology and Chair of the Neuroscience and Behavior Program at Mount Holyoke College, where Renae has been teaching since June 2006. Renae specializes in introductory biology, aquatic biology, animal behavior, and marine conservation biology. Prior to this role, Renae served as Director of the Five College Coastal and Marine Sciences Program from July 2013 to July 2017, overseeing a collaborative certificate program involving multiple institutions. Renae's academic career includes an Assistant Professorship at the University of South Carolina and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute. Renae earned a PhD in Zoology from the University of Washington and a BA in Aquatic Biology from UC Santa Barbara.
