Matteo Riondato is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Amherst College since January 2019, with a focus on research and teaching algorithms for Knowledge Discovery, Data Mining, and Machine Learning. Previously held the position of Assistant Professor of Computer Science, and has been a Visiting Faculty at Brown University since January 2016, also leading research in the same areas. Prior to these roles, Matteo worked as a Research Scientist at Two Sigma Investments and served in postdoctoral research positions at Brown University and Stanford University. Matteo's experience includes being a summer research intern at Yahoo and contributing to the FreeBSD Project as a src committer. Educationally, Matteo holds a Ph.D. and a Master's degree in Computer Science from Brown University, alongside degrees in Informatics Engineering and Information Engineering from Università degli Studi di Padova.
