Shameem Awan

Shameem Awan currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Human Resources at Rhode Island College since July 2024. Simultaneously, Awan has been with Amica Insurance since October 1996, holding the position of Senior Assistant Vice President of Talent Management and DEI, overseeing countrywide talent acquisition, management, diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, along with employee relocations and two teams totaling 17 employees. Awan has also held various assistant vice president roles within the Claims Executive Department, managing branch claims operations across multiple states, customer service, and claims litigation management. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from Providence College, and ongoing pursuit of a Master of Science in Human Resources at the University of Rhode Island.
