Jon Brudvig, PhD, currently serves as the Director of Discovery Research & Gene Therapy at Amicus Therapeutics, leading biomarker discovery and preclinical development initiatives for gene therapies targeting rare disorders. In addition to this role, Jon collaborates with industry partners as a Visiting Scientist at Sanford Research, where management of preclinical science for rare disease therapeutics occurs. Jon also holds an Assistant Professor position in Pediatrics at the University of South Dakota's Sanford School of Medicine, contributing to teaching and research efforts. As an Associate Editor for the American Society for Gene & Cell Therapy's newsletter, The Vector, Jon highlights advancements in the field. Prior experience includes technical writing at Johnson & Johnson and managing medical writing projects at Wright Medical. Jon's academic background includes a PhD in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from the University of South Dakota, along with a B.S. in Biology.
