Michelle Cockayne

Michelle Cockayne has a diverse work experience in various companies. Michelle currently serves as the Director, International Data Privacy Officer at Amicus Therapeutics since September 2019. Prior to this, they worked as the Governance and Compliance Lead for Global Procurement at AstraZeneca from August to September 2019. From July 2018 to May 2019, they were the Senior Manager, Global Compliance at STERIS Corporation. Michelle also worked as the Senior Ethics and Compliance Manager at Rolls-Royce from February 2016 to July 2018. In addition, Michelle Cockayne held positions at McKesson UK, starting as the Assistant Company Secretary from February 2006 to February 2010, and later as the Consumer Compliance & Risk Manager from February 2010 to January 2016. At Halfords, they served as the Legal Manager from January 1998 to February 2006.

Michelle Cockayne completed their education at Birmingham City University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree in Government. In addition to their degree, they have also acquired various certifications such as Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) from IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals in 2023, Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) from the same institution in 2021, and a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional from the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE) in 2019.
