Julie Thorne is an experienced Obstetrician and Gynaecologist currently serving at Women's College Hospital and as an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto since January 2020. In addition to clinical practice, Julie Thorne engages in research with AMPATH Kenya, focusing on community-based maternal health initiatives, including the provision of urine pregnancy tests and the development of a novel adolescent pregnancy program utilizing human-centered design. As a Team Lead in Reproductive Health at Moi University, Julie Thorne contributes to patient care and education at Moi Teaching & Referral Hospital, overseeing training for residents and students.
