What you will do:

  • Establish and Maintain Supplier Processes. Develop and implement necessary processes for supplier qualification, development, and ongoing surveillance to ensure consistent quality and compliance.
  • Quality Strategy Development: Formulate and execute quality strategies to integrate quality assurance into supplier processes from selection through to continuous monitoring.
  • Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP): Lead the adoption and execution of APQP processes, acting as a change agent where necessary. Train suppliers on APQP tools and techniques to ensure understanding and effective implementation.
  • Supplier Performance Management: Develop and implement a comprehensive supplier scorecard to track and evaluate supplier performance. Lead the reporting of supplier health metrics and take ownership of quality confidence metrics.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to influence and support supplier selection and define requirements.
  • Issue Investigation and Resolution: Lead investigations into supplier-related issues, implementing robust containment, corrective, and preventive actions to address and mitigate problems

What you need:

  • Experienced: At least ~8 years of experience in Quality Management, particularly in managing and developing suppliers, preferably within the energy storage industry.
  • Knowledgeable & Proven: Strong expertise in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) with proven implementation experience.
  • Supplier Manager: Extensive experience in managing suppliers and/or Contract Manufacturers, including the introduction of new technologies to suppliers.
  • Supplier ISO Auditor: Experience in conducting supplier audits, equivalent to ISO/TS 16949 or ISO 13485 standards.
  • Supplier Performance Evaluator: Experienced in managing and developing supplier scorecards to evaluate and improve supplier performance.
  • Key Process and Product Characteristics Manager: Ability to drive and manage the cascade of Key Process and Product characteristics, from understanding the framework to implementing poka-yoke measures for assurance.
  • Problem Solver: Problem-solving as a second nature, with robust knowledge of the 8D methodology.
  • Independent, Influential Leader: Autonomous and assertive, with the ability to influence multiple layers within the organization while keeping quality goals in focus. Proven ability to act as a change agent, evidenced through past experiences and exposure.
  • Multilingual: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin. Proficiency in other languages and dialects is an added advantage.
  • Technical: Comprehensive knowledge and experience with critical quality tools such as APQP, 8D, DMAIC/Six Sigma, TQM, Control Plans (CP), and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEAs).

Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree or above in any disciplines pertaining to Science, Technology or Engineering.

  • Six Sigma Green belt mandatory
  • Certified Quality Engineer with ASQ or equivalent will be a plus.
