Jo Kang has extensive work experience in the field of creative direction and design. Jo is currently serving as the Group Creative Director at Amplify since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Jack Morton Worldwide, where they held various positions including VP Group Creative Director, VP Senior Creative Director, Senior Creative Director, Creative Director, Associate Creative Director, Freelance Design Director, and Creative Lead. Before joining Jack Morton Worldwide, Jo worked as a Freelance Designer, where they provided design and art direction services to clients such as Nike, Footlocker, and PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Jo also worked as a Senior Designer at Clear Design, focusing on design, brand, and strategy. Earlier in their career, Jo Kang worked as a Senior Designer at Storeage, a multidisciplinary design studio specializing in retail solutions, and as a Freelance Designer at Square Circle Triangle, an interactive agency based in Melbourne. Throughout their career, Jo has handled various responsibilities, including art direction, identity design, retail design, print design, web design, campaign development, and advertising.
Jo Kang holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fashion Design from RMIT University, which was obtained between 1994 and 1997. Subsequently, Jo pursued a Graduate Diploma in Graphic Design at RMIT University, which lasted from 2000 to 2002. Finally, Jo completed a Master of Arts degree in Communication Design from RMIT University between 2002 and 2004.
