Norman Birtch

Norman Birtch has over 20 years of experience in human resources. Norman started their career in 1992 as the Manager of Staff Relations and Services at Netmar Inc./Blackburn Radio, where they managed a staff of two employees and oversaw employee relations, compensation, benefits, and recruiting. In 1997, they joined ZF Group as a Human Resources Manager, responsible for managing a staff of three employees and overseeing various HR functions at a machining and assembly operation. In 2003, they moved to AAM - Formerly Metaldyne, where they held multiple roles, including Human Resources Manager at the New Castle plant and later at the Bluffton plant. Norman managed staff, led labor and employee relations, implemented compensation and benefits programs, and facilitated organizational development. In 2014, Birtch joined Amsted Automotive as the Vice President of Human Resources, a position they currently hold.

Norman Birtch obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resources from the University of Waterloo between 1984 and 1988. Norman then pursued an Executive Program in Advanced Program in Human Resources Management at the University of Toronto from 1994 to 1995. Finally, Norman completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a Human Resources Specialization at Indiana Wesleyan University's DeVoe School of Business from 2008 to 2010.
