Vanesa Abajo Perez

Vanesa Abajo Perez is an accomplished Advisor for Film & Visual Arts at Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst since May 2018, alongside a diverse career as a Filmmaker and Visual Artist at ESPRESSOMEDIA since January 2004. As the Artistic & Managing Director at KRO-NCRV from September 2017 to October 2020, Vanesa directed numerous impactful projects, including the transmedia poem "I AM NOT MY BODY," which explores themes of life and death through personal narratives. Additional notable roles include Director & DOP for "THE HOUSE OF STONE," Writer, Director & Producer for "PARADISE," and Art Director at Philips Design. Vanesa's educational background includes a Master's Degree in Film and Interactive Media from HKU and a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Media Studies from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
