Het AFK is het fonds van en voor culturele wereldstad Amsterdam. Vanuit onze missie 'Fantastische kunst voor alle Amsterdammers', dragen we bij aan een stad waar iedereen de kans heeft kunst te beoefenen of ervaren. Daarom ondersteunen we alle kunstvormen in ieder stadsdeel en in elke wijk. We zijn er voor zowel professionele kunst als voor cultuurbeoefening in de vrije tijd - voor gevestigde organisaties, als ook de rafelranden en de pioniers. Het AFK richt zich met zijn activiteiten op drie groepen: kunstenaars en culturele organisaties, Amsterdammers, en de sector als geheel.
