Jennifer Cantrell has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Jennifer is currently working as the Director of Patient Experience at AMSURG since August 2023. Before this, Jennifer worked as an Owner/Designer at CurlyGirl & Pip! where they showcased their creative side by making comfortable and stylish jewelry. Furthermore, Jennifer had a role as a Patient Experience Advisor at Press Ganey from December 2014 to August 2023, where they supported patient experience improvement initiatives and collaborated with client organizations to achieve sustainable results. Prior to that, they worked as an Analyst in Market Intelligence at Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. Jennifer also has experience as an Executive Director at the Children's Kindness Network, an Education Manager at the Sexual Assault Center, and as the Director of Guest Relations and Service Excellence at Baptist Hospital. Jennifer began their career as a Service Excellence Supervisor and Patient Representative at Greenville Hospital System before becoming a Patient/Family Liaison at University Hospitals of Cleveland.

Jennifer Cantrell earned their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Healthcare Management from Appalachian State University, which they attended from 1991 to 1994. Prior to that, they obtained an Associate of Science degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies, and Humanities from Lees McRae College, where they studied from 1989 to 1991. In addition to their formal education, Jennifer also obtained a Professional Researcher Certification (PRC) from the Marketing Research Association (MRA) in June 2013.
