Christa Carter

Christa Carter has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries. Christa currently works at Amtrak as a Lead Diversity Programs Recruiter. Prior to that, they worked at Boeing in multiple roles. Christa was a Global Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion Coordinator, where they assisted in resolving diversity issues and managed DEI deliverables. Christa also worked as a Human Resources Business Partner and Employee Relations, Performance Specialist at Boeing. During their time as an Employee Relations, Performance Specialist, they coached managers, provided support during COVID-19, and handled unemployment claims.

Christa also has experience at the American Chemical Society as an Engagement and Collaboration Intern, where they supported the Office of Innovation and Collaboration and implemented initiatives for waste disposal and employee recognition. Additionally, they worked at the University of South Carolina Visitor Center as a University Ambassador and Community Ambassador, where they provided campus tours, communicated information to prospective students, and supported students transitioning to off-campus living. Christa also served as a University 101 Peer Leader and Captain of Social Media during their time at the university.

Furthermore, Christa has held positions at Royall & Company as a Human Resources Intern, where they assisted with learning and development activities, coordinated employees for educational outreach, and composed articles for the company intranet. Christa also worked at the Capstone Conference Center as a Summer Conference Assistant, providing customer service, resolving conflicts, and conducting safety orientations.

Earlier in their career, Christa served as an Orientation Leader at the University of South Carolina, where they planned and led orientation activities. Christa also worked as a Summer Sports Camp Co-Manager at Veritas School and a Legislative Page at The Family Foundation.

Christa Carter has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication from the University of South Carolina. Christa also holds a Master's degree in Human Resources from the same institution. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Diversity & Inclusion for HR from Cornell University ILR School and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in the year 2021.
