Christina A. Schad

Dr. Christina A. Schad has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical and medical field. Christina A.'smost recent role is as the US Medical Lead for Neurology at Amylyx Pharmaceuticals since September 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Medical Science Liaison at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals from September 2019 to August 2021.

Before their role at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Schad was self-employed as a Financial Planning Consultant from June 2015 to September 2019. Christina A. has also held positions at Shionogi Inc. as a Regional Therapeutic Expert in Women's Health from March 2014 to May 2015, and at Avanir Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Medical Science Liaison in Neurology/CNS from March 2011 to March 2014.

Earlier in their career, Dr. Schad worked as a Medical Science Liaison in Psychiatry at Labopharm from March 2010 to March 2011, and as a Medical Liaison in Neuroscience/Pain at Abbott Laboratories from January 2008 to March 2009. Dr. Schad began their career as a Research Assistant Professor at Chicago Medical School from August 2001 to March 2006.

Christina A. Schad, PhD completed their education in the field of pharmacology/neuroscience with a PhD degree from Emory University School of Medicine in the years 1991-1997. Following this, they pursued postdoctoral studies in neuroscience/psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine from 1997-1999. During this time, their research focused on exploring the underlying neurochemistry of neuropsychiatric conditions. Prior to their graduate studies, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Music from Emory University, graduating in the years 1985-1989.
