Alexander Marciniak

Scientist I at Amyris

Alexander Marciniak has had a varied career in science and project management. Alexander began their career in 2007 as an intern at Atlas Elektronik and then in 2008 at WESER-KURIER digital GmbH. In 2011, they became a Graduate Student at Universität Bremen and obtained their Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 2014. In 2015, they were a Visiting Research Scholar at the University of Miami, FL, USA. From 2016 to 2017, they were a Project Manager at IPMA: International Project Management Association. Most recently, in 2021, they began working as a Scientist I at Amyris.

Alexander Marciniak began their education in 2003 when they graduated from Freie Evangelische Bekenntnisschule Bremen with an Abitur (high school graduation). Alexander then attended the University of Bremen from 2011 to 2014 where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. Alexander continued their studies at the University of Bremen and obtained a Master of Science in Chemie in 2016. In 2017, they began their Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry at the University of Arizona, which they are expected to complete in 2021.
