Arif Shah has over 10 years of experience in the accounting and finance industry. Arif started their career in 2006 as a Senior Associate Auditor at PwC, where they were involved in several executions of statutory audits engagements and developed a comprehensive understanding of the competitive/regulatory environments of diversified industries. In 2010, they joined PwC as an Assistant Manager Tax (Tax Consultant) and was responsible for M&A/International Taxation, Due Diligence, Tax Charge Review, Compliance, and Representing clients before the appellate authorities for tax disputes. In 2013, they joined Shell as a Direct Tax Advisor (Finance & Tax Analyst), where they were responsible for Monthly/Quarterly Reporting, Financial Projections, Budgeting, Exposure Management, Managing Tax Changes, Tax Audit, International Taxation, External Audits, and Cost Optimization. In 2016, they were a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. From 2017 to 2020, Arif was the Accounting and Tax Manager at Prudent Accountants, where they were responsible for Account Management, Supervising and Managing Accounts Payable/Receivable, CAM Reconciliations, Cashflow, Income Projections, and Annual Budgets for Clients. Arif is currently an Assistant Controller at AmeriLife and an Associate Director of Accounting at Amyris.

Arif Shah obtained their B.Com degree from Karachi University between 2005 and 2007, followed by a Chartered Accountant degree from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan between 2004 and 2010. In 2017, they completed a Master's degree in Business Taxation from the University of Minnesota.
