Juliana N. Paschoalim has worked for Amyris since 2015, beginning as a Fermentation Intern in Process Development. Juliana N. then progressed to Jr. Fermentation Technician, Jr. Fermentation Analyst, and Pl Fermentation Analyst in Process Development. In 2017, they were promoted to Sr Scientist in Process Development, where they have been responsible for fermentation process development in bench and pilot-scale reactors using GMO (yeast) for production of compounds for use in clean beauty, health, specialty and performance chemicals. Her main activities include process development and process optimization, technical support to CMOs and manufacturing plant, technology transfer to industrial scale, design of experiments, scale-up and scale down, programming scripts for bioprocess control, statistical analysis and data report, and support on manufacturing plant start-up and commissioning.
Juliana N. Paschoalim is currently enrolled in a Pós-graduação Lato Sensu - MBA program at MBA USP/Esalq, which they began in 2022. Juliana N. also completed a Six Sigma Green Belt program at North Carolina State University in 2022. From 2013 to 2018, they completed a Bacharel degree in Engenharia Química at Esamc - Campinas. Prior to that, they completed a Técnico em Química program at Escola Técnica Estadual Conselheiro Antonio Prado - ETECAP from 2010 to 2012. Juliana has also obtained several certifications, including Statistical Thinking and Problem Solving from SAS in 2020, Espuma na Fermentação: causas e estratégias de controle from Fermentec in 2019, Melhor desempenho universitário 2018/2 - Engenharia Química from ESAMC in 2019, and SAP Professional 2.0 from MDL Consulting - São Paulo/SP in 2016.
