Associate Scientist I at Amyris

Kimberley Mannikum is a chemist with experience in the laboratory and administrative roles. Kimberley currently works as an Associate Scientist I at Amyris, a position they have held since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Laboratory Assistant Intern at Alpha Medica from 2019 to 2021. During this time, they acted as a part-time secretary and performed administrative tasks, assisted in labeling of samples and analyzing patients' blood samples, and helped in the maintenance of machines and equipment. From 2019 to 2021, they also held roles as a Undergraduate Student Research Assistant, Peer Tutor, Supplemental Instructor, and Exam Proctor at the Illinois Institute of Technology. In 2021, they worked as a Chemist Lab Assistant at E.C Oxenham & Cy Ltd, where they analyzed samples of beverages in the lab and tested for sugar content, total volatility, total acidity, alcohol content of the samples, and performed daily microbacterial test on recycled bottles.

Kimberley Mannikum is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, which they are expected to complete in 2022. In December 2018, they obtained SAChE Safety Courses from the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. In April 2019, they received a Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification from the Navy Recruiting Command. Finally, in January 2022, they earned a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification from the International Six Sigma Institute.
