Sara Correia

Sara Correia has been working in the software engineering field since 2001. Sara began their career at Enabler, where they were a Software Developer responsible for developing e-commerce websites and back-end software for systems integration. In 2005, they became a Teacher at the Ministry of Education of Portugal. In 2012, they joined the University of Minho as a PhD Student and then a Postdoctoral Researcher. In 2019, they began working at Amyris as a Senior Software Engineer, Computational Biologist, and Software Developer.

Sara Correia completed their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Universidade do Minho in 2001. Sara then went on to complete their Graduation from Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto in 2006. In 2008, they earned their Master of Science (MS) in Bioinformatic from Universidade do Minho. Finally, in 2016, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Informatics from University of Minho.
