R&D Engineer at Anaconda BioMed

Francesca De Meis has three years of professional experience in research and development. In 2022, she began working as an R&D Engineer at Anaconda BioMed, where she design, develops, and optimizes neurovascular catheters for the treatment of Stroke. From 2019 to 2021, she worked as an R&D Engineer II and I at Medtronic, where she designed and developed new disposable medical devices, worked on complaint investigation activities, and collaborated with the Quality team on CAPA and NCR activities. In 2018, she completed a Master Thesis Project at the University of South-Eastern Norway, where she designed a Point-of-care device, conducted microfluidic numerical simulations, and gained laboratory experience in the manufacturing process of POC devices.

Francesca De Meis has an extensive education history. Francesca obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Sapienza Università di Roma in 2016. In 2019, she completed her Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering with a specialization in Biomechanics from Politecnico di Torino. In 2020, she obtained a Qualification to practice the Engineering profession, Industrial Engineering License- sector A from Politecnico di Torino. Additionally, she obtained a number of certifications, including Learning Fusion 360, Excel: PivotTables in Depth, Master Additive Manufacturing and 3D Printing, Mini-Course MDR 2017/745, and IELTS British Council from various institutions.
