Jan Witt has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Jan began their career as a Key and Global Account Manager at Siemens Enterprise Communications in 1996, where they worked until 2008. Jan then worked as a Global Account Manager at CPA Global in 2009 before moving on to IGBW Consulting as a Manager from 2009 to 2010. In 2010, they joined Thomson Reuters, initially serving as a Strategic Sales Consultant and Regional Sales Manager until 2012. Jan then took on the role of Global Manager Asset Management, IP Solutions from 2013 to 2015. In 2015, they joined ProQuest as a Global Business & Strategy Development Manager until 2017. From 2018 to 2020, they worked at ARS Computer und Consulting GmbH as a Senior Key Account Manager & Cloud Business Sales Lead. Currently, they are employed as the Director of Sales DACH at Anaqua, an enterprise application software vendor in the Intellectual Asset Management industry.

Jan Witt obtained a degree in Dipl.-Ing. in the field of LRT-IPT (aeronautical and astronautical engineering with additional BA) from Bundeswehr University Munich from 1989 to 1993. In 2019, Jan Witt attended Red Hat and obtained a certification as a Red Hat Sales Specialist - Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure in the field of Information Technology. Jan Witt also obtained a certification as an IBM Information Integration & Governance Sales Professional v1 from IBM in 2019.
