ABOUT THE POSITION:

As an Audit Director in the Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) team here at Anchin, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic financial guidance, risk assessment, and compliance services to AEC clients. You will oversee a team of audit senior managers and collaborate with clients to ensure financial transparency, accuracy, and regulatory compliance. Your leadership and expertise will be instrumental in fostering long-term client relationships, upholding industry standards, and driving the business growth at Anchin.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and execute financial audits of AEC clients, including project contracts, financial statements, revenue recognition, and cost controls.
  • Review and evaluate internal controls, financial processes, and accounting practices to identify areas for improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication, understanding client needs, and delivering exceptional service.
  • Provide financial and strategic advice to clients, helping them make informed decisions to improve their business.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of audit senior managers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations while fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Stay updated on relevant industry regulations and accounting standards, ensuring clients' compliance with them while identifying and assessing financial risks, and offering solutions and recommendations to mitigate potential issues.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop the firm's strategic vision, business goals, and financial plans.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve audit efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree or CPA certification is highly preferred.

Experience:

  • 8 + years of experience in auditing, with a focus on AEC clients.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and AEC industry practices.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in audit software and financial analysis tools.
  • Business development skills and the ability to foster and maintain client relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High ethical standards and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

Compensation:

  • Competitive annual salary in the range of $160,000 to $220,000 based on the individual’s experience level.
