Brian Demaris

Brian DeMaris has held various positions in the music industry since 2002. Brian began their career as Music Staff at Glimmerglass Opera, then went on to work as an Associate Conductor at New York City Opera and as Assistant Conductor and Chorus Master at Florida Grand Opera. In 2005, DeMaris became the Resident Conductor at Ash Lawn Opera and also served as a Conductor at New York City Opera. Brian later joined Opera Theatre of Saint Louis as a Repetiteur. In 2008, DeMaris became the Director of Opera and Musical Theatre at Ithaca College, and then in 2010, they became an Artist-Faculty at Aspen Music Festival and School. From 2011 to 2019, DeMaris was the Music Director and Interim Artistic Director at Mill City Summer Opera. Brian also worked as the Principal Conductor at Anchorage Opera and currently holds the position of Artistic Director and Principal Conductor for Music Theatre and Opera at Arizona State University.

Brian DeMaris has a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance, General from Ithaca College and a Master's Degree in Music Performance, General from the New England Conservatory of Music.
