Greg Shearson

Greg Shearson is currently the CEO at Ancient Nutrition. Greg has also held the position of CEO at Merrick Natural Petworks from 2011 to 2018. At Merrick, they helped lead the company from a branded $70M business to the fastest growing in the natural and organic pet specialty industry with ~$500M in sales. The company was sold by Swander Pace Capital and acquired by Nestle Purina Pet Care in September 2015 for the largest return in the PE firm's history. Post acquisition, Greg remained as the CEO of the business which is being maintained as a completely stand alone, independent unit. In 2018, they were asked to integrate the previously purchased Zuke's Natural Pet Treat company into the Merrick Natural Pet Works structure highlighting Nestle's continued confidence in the team's performance.

At Ancient Nutrition, Greg stepped in to lead this fast growing health and wellness focused nutrition company as CEO in January 2019. Greg helped Founders improve fundamentals and created a new strategic plan focused on improving the team, operating systems, financial discipline, customer relationships, consumer marketing and Go To Market model. Greg grew net revenue more than +50% to $130M, and turned a negative EBITDA and cash flow into positives.
