Shawn Daniel

Shawn Daniel has a diverse work experience in the medical device industry. Shawn started as an Engineering Summer Intern at Hantel Technologies Inc in 2006, followed by a role as an Engineering Technician at RFA Medical Inc. In 2007, they joined St. Jude Medical as an R&D Intern, where they performed V&V testing for the CoolFlex RF ablation catheter. Shawn also created engineering notebook study reports and routed ECNs.

In 2011, Shawn started working at Hantel Technologies, Inc. as an Engineer I. Shawn'sprimary focus was on medical device projects, performing bench testing, protocol/report writing, test design, and sub-assembly design. Shawn successfully submitted and gained clearance for a 510(k).

From 2014 to 2021, Shawn worked at Medtronic. Shawn began as an R&D Engineer, leading projects such as the re-design of the Cytosponge Cell Collection and the development of a handheld bipolar radiofrequency device for treating pre-cancerous lesions. Shawn was involved in the entire product development process, from concept to manufacturing transfer. Shawn also contributed to pre-PDP concept work, including extensive catheter development and prototype evaluations.

Currently, Shawn is a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Andrews Cooper, starting in 2022.

Shawn Daniel pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from San Jose State University from 2010 to 2013. Beyond this, there is no available information about their educational path.
