Kevin Spevak

Kevin Spevak is a Robotics Software Engineer currently serving as a Founding Engineer at Andromeda Surgical since October 2023, focusing on controls, perception, path planning, and AI functionality in surgical robotics. Prior to this role, Kevin worked as a Robotics Engineering Consultant at Berkeley Engineering And Research, Inc. in September 2023, contributing to autonomous vehicle research. As a Graduate Research Assistant at the Colorado School of Mines from January to December 2022, Kevin enhanced the Task and Motion Kit by integrating it with the Gurobi Optimizer. Kevin’s background includes significant experience as a Senior Software Engineer at RecoveryOne, where management of large projects resulted in substantial revenue growth, as well as roles at Vidora and Remeeting that showcased expertise in software engineering. Kevin began the career as an Associate QA Engineer at MobiTV and has also completed internships focused on energy-harvesting technologies. Kevin holds a Master of Science in Robotics from the Colorado School of Mines and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
