James Napier

James Napier is an experienced engineering executive with a strong background in software and systems engineering. Currently serving as the Director of Software Engineering at Anduril Industries since July 2024, James previously held the role of Senior Vice President of Engineering at InVeris Training Solutions, where leadership was provided for a team of over 60 engineers developing advanced training simulators for military and law enforcement. James's tenure at Meggitt Training Systems included positions such as VP Engineering, where oversight was given to an engineering team of approximately 80, and the successful integration of innovative methodologies to enhance product development efficiency. Earlier career roles at FATS and Draper Laboratory included pivotal positions in software management and development, contributing to significant projects, including a unique $20 million simulator for the Singapore Police Coast Guard. James holds both a B.S. and MEng in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, complemented by a distinguished academic record as valedictorian at Deltona High School.
