Laura Kato

Laura Kato, SPHR has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of human resources. Laura is currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Angi since March 2020. Prior to this, Laura worked at Stitch Fix as the People and Culture Business Partner Director from April 2018 to March 2020, and as the People & Culture Business Partner Manager from September 2016 to April 2018.

Before their time at Stitch Fix, Laura worked at Apollo Group as the Sr. Manager of HR Shared Services from June 2013 to September 2016, and as the HRBP Manager from July 2011 to May 2013. At Apollo Group, they acted as a strategic HR partner to various leadership teams, providing guidance and support in areas such as engagement, employee relations, leadership development, succession planning, and talent acquisition.

Prior to Apollo Group, Laura held positions at Amazon.com, where they served as an HR Manager from February 2011 to September 2011 and as a Senior HR Business Partner from September 2008 to February 2011. Furthermore, they have experience working at Anheuser-Busch Companies as an Assistant HR Manager from August 2007 to September 2008, as an HR Supervisor from June 2005 to August 2007, and as an HR Intern in 2004.

Laura also gained HR experience at Twin Cities Public Television as an HR Intern from January 2004 to May 2004, and at California State University, Chico as an HR Assistant from September 2001 to May 2003. Overall, Laura Kato, SPHR brings with their a wealth of HR expertise and has made significant contributions throughout their career.

Laura Kato, SPHR, holds a Master of Arts degree in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management, which they obtained from 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from California State University, Chico from 1999 to 2003. In 2013, Laura received their Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) Certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI.
