Russ Howie

Russ Howie has a diverse work experience in the medical device industry. Russ recently joined AngioDynamics as the Senior Director of Operations. Prior to that, they worked at Viant Medical as the Director of Operations for a short period in 2019. From 2016 to 2017, they served as the Chief Operating Officer for ECA Medical Instruments, leading various departments such as QA/RA, Supply Chain, Production, Human Resources, and Manufacturing Engineering. Before that, they held the position of Senior Director of West Coast Operations at Haemonetics from 2014 to 2016, overseeing the manufacturing facilities in California and Mexico. Russ successfully managed a large workforce and focused on supply chain, production, continuous improvement, engineering, and health and safety activities. Russ Howie had an extensive tenure at Covidien, starting as the Director of Vascular Therapy Manufacturing in 2006 and then becoming the VP of Manufacturing from 2008 to 2013. Prior to that, they were the Plant Manager at Tyco Healthcare for three years, where they improved processes, reduced lead times and costs, and enhanced quality. Starting their career in 1997, Russ Howie worked as a Director of Suture Manufacturing at United States Surgical.

Russ Howie attended Springfield College from 1979 to 1983, where they obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration and Management, General. Russ also holds a certification in Lean Six Sigma from the University of Kentucky.
