Richard Thomas

Director Of Bands / Director Of Fine Arts at Angleton Independent School District

Richard Thomas has extensive work experience in the field of fine arts and music education. Richard began their career as the Music and Worship Pastor at First Baptist Church of Fort Worth in 2002 and held this role until 2005. After that, they worked as the Director of Bands at Red Oak ISD from 2006 to 2014. Richard then joined Belton ISD as the Coordinator of Fine Arts from 2014 to 2018. Currently, they are serving as the Director of Bands and Director of Fine Arts at Angleton Independent School District since June 2019.

Richard Thomas earned their Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Baylor University, where they attended from 1986-1991. Prior to that, they graduated from Richland High School in 1983. Later, in 2009-2010, they pursued a Master's Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision at Lamar University.
