Steven Markowitz has worked in various roles since 2010. Steven began their career as a Senior Writer and Features Editor for Reporter Magazine, where they generated and pitched story ideas, and mentored students. In 2013, they became the Director of Render Wranglers at the Rochester Institute of Technology, where they hired employees, constructed schedules, and reviewed employee performance. Steven also served as a Teaching Assistant for Building the 3D Character and Animation Production. In 2014, they were an Animator/Editor for The Couples 25 Plus Project, where they assembled a team to produce animated segments interacting with live action footage for a documentary film pitch. In 2015, they were a Creative Consultant for InspireMAS. From 2016 to 2017, they were an Intern and Freelance Editor for Lunacy. Steven then worked as a Freelance Video Editor for CreatorUp in 2020. Currently, they are an Assistant Editor for ITVS.

Steven Markowitz received their Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in Film and Animation from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2014. Steven then went on to pursue their Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) in Film and Television Production from the University of Southern California, which they completed in 2019.
