Tracey John

Tracey John is the Regional Operations Manager in Katherine. Having worked in the Territory around 20 years ago in Tennant Creek, Tracey is pleased to have returned with her family to the region. Originally from Queensland, Tracey practiced as a Registered Nurse and Midwife before completing a Masters of Public Health.

Having a passion for health promotion and community development, Tracey enjoyed opportunities to work in the International Development sector for two decades, managing country health programs for NGOs in Kosovo, Afghanistan, Thai-Myanmar Border Refugee Camps, Ethiopia and more recently, managing the Australian Government’s volunteer program in Fiji, Kiribati and PNG.

This developing country experience has resulted in a commitment to social justice, human rights and a strong belief in fostering self-determination in those most vulnerable in our community. Tracey is looking forward to sharing her experience and also learning from the Katherine community.
