Deborah Leese

Deborah Leese has a wealth of experience in talent acquisition and development. Deborah is currently the Head of Talent & Development for Angling Direct PLC. Prior to this, they worked as a Talent Consultant for the same company, where they were responsible for recruitment, organizational design, culture, and engagement.

Before joining Angling Direct PLC, Deborah held various roles at Mars, including Project Manager and Talent Acquisition Partner for Mars Petcare & Food. Deborah was responsible for talent strategies, acquisition, sourcing, and employer reputation.

Earlier in their career, Deborah worked as the Managing Director for Neon London, an international recruitment agency. Deborah also worked at BD Network as an RPO Account Director and Recruitment Manager, where they set up and trained a sourcing hub and implemented recruitment processes.

Deborah began their career at Seven Search & Selection, where they worked in various roles within the FMCG and retail sectors, including as a Senior Consultant and Recruitment Consultant.

Deborah Leese pursued their education in a chronological manner. From 2000 to 2002, they attended Greenhead College in Huddersfield, where they completed their A Levels in Business Studies, English, German, and French. Following this, they enrolled at Leeds Beckett University for their undergraduate studies from 2002 to 2005. During their time at the university, Deborah attained a BA Hons degree in Public Relations with German as their field of study.
