Angus Thomas is an award-winning portrait photographer with a wide range of experience in music, event and corporate photography. His ability to capture decisive moments with discretion has earned him the respect & trust of both clients and booking agents.

The majority of Angus's images are lit which has enabled him to work under any conditions in any location. He specialises in live music & event photography and corporate portraits He has shot for major names throughout the UK including Mitsui, VW, Honda, Range Rover, Barclays, HSBC, Warner Music, Conran and McLaren.

Angus has a wide range of skills which enable him to offer a full professional on-site event and portrait service. These include on-site editing and detailed photoshop work, on and off-camera flash photography, studio skills, video editing, design skills and web development.

Angus is extremely competent dealing with high-level client engagement and has worked one-to-one with global CEO's and CMO's of major FTSE100 and overseas corporations. As a portrait photographer, Angus's style is contemporary with an eye to the traditional. His collaborative approach produces leading-edge images whether reportage or portraiture. He is a great addition to any team and above all brings a "can do" approach to all his projects. He revels in the privilege of being an integral part of the client's project.

In 2016 Angus created a rowing project WEROW based around his images of the sport. Having built a strong social media following he created an images platform to enable amateur photographers to distribute and monetise their work. WEROW was media partner to the sports' governing body, British Rowing. Angus also designed and patented a rowing tool called a rigger jigger which is now available in Amazon.

In 2020 Angus created a crowdfunding campaign to rescue and repatriate Nigerian women trafficked to the United Arab Emirates for sexual exploitation, Send Them Home. The campaign was covered by BBC News and the Victoria Derbyshire Show as well as BBC Radio and a number of TV stations in Nigeria. Angus is now working on creating an NGO, the Hope Education Project, to educate and raise awareness among girls and women being targeted for sex trafficking in Ghana

Away from the camera, Angus is an athlete having competed in triathlons at Olympic and IronMan 70.3 distances. He has a regular yoga, breathwork and meditation practice, is long term sober and regularly writes about recovery and mental health issues.
