Andreia Silva

Andreia Silva has a diverse work experience, starting their career in 2011 as an Internship student at Aarhus University. Andreia then joined INEB in 2012 as a Master Student and continued their studies as a Ph.D. student at INEB from 2012 to 2018. During this time, they also spent a year at MD Anderson Cancer Center as a Ph.D. Student. In 2017, they became a Researcher at i3S - Instituto de Investigação e Inovação em Saúde/INEB. Andreia then worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at AstraZeneca from 2019 to 2022. Currently, since June 2022, they are a Bioengineer Senior Scientist at Anjarium Biosciences.

Andreia Silva completed their Master's degree in Bioengineering with a focus on the Biotechnology field at the Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto and the Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas Abel Salazar from 2007 to 2012. Andreia then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomedical Sciences at the Universidade do Porto and the ICBAS- Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences from 2012 to 2018.

In addition to their formal education, Andreia Silva obtained a certification in "Image and video processing: From Mars to Hollywood with a stop at the hospital" from Coursera in March 2013.
