Sumitro Chakraborti is a seasoned professional with over 18 years of experience in renewable and green bio-energy research, project management, and technical support, currently serving as Chief of R&D at Ankur Scientific Energy Technologies Pvt Ltd since January 2009. Previously held positions include Senior Scientist and Scientist in R&D at Kamal Cogent Energy Pvt Ltd, and Project Engineer at L T Machineries & Co. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Energy & Environment Management from Rajiv Gandhi Prodyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, CFB Boiler Design and IGCC Design Optimization projects at the Centre for Energy Technology, a research internship at the University of Houston, and a Senior Management Programme at the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode. Areas of expertise encompass biomass gasifier reactor research and development, green hydrogen and CO2 technologies, biochar and decarbonization technologies, waste-to-clean energy, and energy efficiency.
