Vollie Melson

Vollie Melson has extensive experience in institutional advancement and fundraising, currently serving as the Executive Director of Institutional Advancement and AACC Foundation at Anne Arundel Community College since September 2014. Melson previously worked at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation from November 2007 to August 2014, where as Vice President for Development, more than $65 million was raised over three years, and as Director of Individual and Planned Giving, a Major Gift Program raised approximately $4 million annually. Prior to that, Melson was Vice President for Development at Wesley Theological Seminary from January 2003 to October 2007, achieving over $4 million in annual fundraising and restructuring the Development Office. Earlier experience includes serving as Director of Leadership Initiatives at NACS from December 1999 to December 2002, where leadership programs were launched for workforce development. Melson holds a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from The George Washington University, along with a high school diploma from Worcester Prep.
