Matthew Smith

Matthew Smith has a diverse work experience that spans over several industries. Matthew began their career as an Assistant Program Director at the Burlington Parks and Recreation Department in December 2000, where they served until February 2003. Simultaneously, they worked as a Summer Assistant at the Burlington Department of Public Works from May 2001 to August 2003. From 2000 to 2008, they served as a Kitchen/Restaurant Manager at Fish House and Grill, honing their managerial skills. In 2008, they joined the United States Army as a PATRIOT Launching Station Enhanced Operator/Maintainer, where they operated electronic systems, conducted maintenance, and established communications until July 2012. Following their military service, Matthew became a Public Safety/Security Officer at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in August 2014, where they performed various security duties and provided assistance to clinicians until June 2017. Matthew then worked as an Environmental Field Technician II at Triumvirate Environmental from March 2017 to June 2018, before assuming the role of Laboratory Operations Manager at Anokion in June 2018.

Matthew Smith has a Bachelor's degree in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences from Salem State University. Matthew obtained this degree at an unspecified time. Prior to that, they attended Middlesex Community College from 2004 to 2007 and obtained an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies. Before attending college, Matthew graduated from Burlington High School in 2002. Matthew also holds several additional certifications from LinkedIn, including "Access 2019 Essential Training," "Excel 2016: Managing Multiple Worksheets and Workbooks," "Excel 2016: Setting Up a Database," "Excel: Filtering Data for Beginners," and "Learning Excel 2016." These certifications were obtained in May and June of 2019.
