Mariam Mohamed

Mariam Mohamed has a diverse work experience in the field of laboratory operations. Mariam began their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Arizona from May 2012 to June 2014, where they gained expertise in molecular biology assays, cell culture techniques, and NGS sequencing.

Mariam then worked as a Laboratory Technician at United Blood Services from July 2017 to April 2020. In this role, they focused on preparing blood components and ensuring product quality and customer service.

From March 2020 to April 2022, Mariam worked as a Medical Laboratory Technologist at Labcorp. Mariam was responsible for various molecular testing procedures, including COVID-19 testing, and operated a range of testing instruments.

Currently, Mariam is serving as a Laboratory Supervisor at GENETWORx. In this role, they oversee the daily operations of a molecular diagnostic laboratory, including testing execution, personnel supervision, and result reporting. Mariam also provides consultation as needed.

Mariam Mohamed earned a Master's degree in Biomedical Diagnostics from Arizona State University in the timeframe of 2022 to 2023. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Arizona.
