Kodiak Berkoff

Kodiak Berkoff is a Software Engineer at Ansa Biotechnologies, Inc. since December 2021, previously serving as a Research Associate II at Zymergen and as a Research Associate I there. Prior experience includes roles as an Undergraduate Researcher at the Innovative Genomics Institute, focusing on cyanide-free cassava development using CRISPR, and at the University of California, Berkeley, where work involved chromosome-scale genome assembly and variant calling. Kodiak also contributed as a Computational Research Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, leading a project on tarpon transcriptome assembly related to heart development research. Kodiak holds a Bachelor's degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
